This scientific article has the purpose of analyzing the impact of the use of big data on smart mobility and how it can improve the planning and management of urban transport. In addition, the main areas of research are reviewed and the contributions and limitations of the existing literature are assessed. To carry out this study, a systematic review of the existing literature was carried out in the main scientific databases, such as IEEE Xplore, Scopus and Web of Science. Keywords related to the topic of big data and smart mobility were used to identify relevant studies. Articles published between 2017 and 2022, in English, Spanish and Portuguese, were selected. This literature review was carried out in order to provide an overview of existing research on the use of big data for smart mobility and to highlight emerging trends in this area. In addition, it seeks to provide relevant information for researchers, academics and professionals interested in the subject. This made it possible to identify the main research areas in this field, such as congestion prediction, traffic pattern analysis and transport route optimization. Finally, it was possible to show that within the articles studied the use of big data for smart mobility is shown as a constantly evolving research area and that more efforts are needed to address the limitations and improve the contributions.References
