ReCIBE ensures the long-term availability, integrity, and preservation of all its digital files through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) provided through OJS.

The journal also uses decentralized storage through the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) systems enabled on the platform to maintain globally distributed preservation copies.

In addition, the Universidad de Guadalajara performs periodic and automatic backups of the complete database in order to mitigate potential technological contingencies.
